Winter Market at VU at MetroWest

This event has already taken place.

Friday 19 June 2015

This June, join us at the VU at MetroWest Winter Market from 11am - 6pm on Friday 19 June.

Creating a welcome, a loose-knit community of crafters, artists and other makers-of-things, developed by Anna Brandford, have held several crafternoons to engage the community in creating crafts to sell at the Winter Market. All funds raised will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in Footscray.

Craftivism, a combination of crafting and activism, is a term that emerged near the beginning of this millennium and is associated with Betsy Greer. It is a concept connecting the act of creating something by hand with motives of political resistance and the endeavour to effect social change.

Join us at the Winter Market and support this great cause!
