Think West is a festival of philosophy and culture across Melbourne’s inner west, featuring more than 40 workshops, tours, classes and special events. VU at MetroWest is hosting 15 events, including:
Westography
7 - 20 November
Launch: 7 November from 6pm.
From Altona to Airport West, Sunshine to Yarraville, Westography celebrates the forgotten things: peeling paint, fading colours and private spaces. Warren Kirk’s (aka ‘The Westographer’) photography captures a unique beauty, a suspension of time and a resilience held in a rapidly changing part of our modern world: suburbia.
Innovation and Social Change tour
9 November, 3pm-5pm.
Meet up-and-coming entrepreneurs, be inspired by Footscray’s rich history, and sample some fine cuisine along the way. Meet at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Game Changers Conversation: Wisdom From Nature
9 November, 6pm-8pm.
Award-winning and innovative contemporary designer Jamie Durie speaks with local thought leaders on how to draw wisdom from nature. Pop-up bar from 5.30pm.
Children's Day
12 November, 6pm-8pm.
Self-exploration for under 15s through craft, science experiments, exploring your inner philosopher, storytelling, reading and more.
