President, Victorian Bar Council, presenting at Dean's seminar

James W S Peters QC, President of the Victorian Bar Council, will deliver the third presentation in the College of Law and Justice Dean's seminar series.
The series will focus on the theme: 'The future of the legal profession – Where are we going?'.
James' presentation will address the following topics:

How technology may impact legal practice?

Formula 1 Arbitration/Litigation - Transnational disputes.

Where is the traditional model of advocacy in the common law heading towards?
James has extensive experience in the area of complex commercial litigation at trial and appellate level in Supreme and Federal Courts.
He has acted for many private litigants, public bodies, liquidators and financial institutions in commercial litigation at Supreme and Federal Court trial on appeal level and in arbitrations since 1987.
Areas include joint venture, disputes, trade practices, banking/insolvency, property and regulatory authority disputes.
A light lunch will be provided prior to the start of the seminar.
