Rainie is a second-year PhD candidate at the Institute for Health and Sport (IHES). She has been awarded the VU-China Scholarship Council joint scholarship. She is a published author with several journal articles and conference abstracts to her name.

Her research topic is looking at the associations between neighbourhood environment and physical activity in adolescents.
