Jim is a Lecturer in the Osteopathy unit of the College of Sport, Health and Engineering. In addition to his medical degree, he is also a qualified naturopath. He is involved in research having supervised several honours, masters and PhD students. Jim’s broad research interest focuses on the area of alternative treatment approaches to common medical conditions.

His key focus is teaching and learning excellence through the use of innovative teaching methods. His key areas of teaching interest are pathology and clinical examination.

Jim has a strong commitment to excellence and equity and is strongly committed to helping his students to be successful. Jim has been a group recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. He has strong personal commitment to the communities of the west of Melbourne and to providing access to University programs for all those who aspire to achieve a tertiary qualification.
