Hayley is a lecturer of speech pathology in the College of Sport, Health & Engineering at Victoria University.

She is a certified speech pathologist who has worked across acute and subacute hospitals, private practice, residential aged care, community rehabilitation and community health, in public, private and academic settings. Hayley specialised in neurological rehabilitation with a focus on Traumatic Brain Injury and acquired neurological conditions.

Hayley values working collaboratively with learners and educators, and has worked extensively in practice education in higher education (University of Melbourne, Australian Catholic University and Victoria University, presently) and health service settings. She has held practice educator and clinical education coordinator roles, supervising over 150 students including simulated, telehealth and group placements.

Hayley engaged in not-for-profit volunteer work with the Trinh Foundation in Vietnam working as a speech pathology practice educator to support Vietnamese speech pathology students and educators in a post-graduate speech pathology training course. These experiences supported her development of culturally safe and responsive practice, commitment to inclusion in teaching and learning and appreciation of the power of community and family-based practice.

Hayley's research interests focus on practice education including technology enhanced learning, professional practice and work integrated learning experiences.
