Hanna has been connected to the youth work sector for 15 years in both paid and voluntary capacities. Throughout this time Hanna has held a number of different positions within a diverse range of settings such as:
- alternative education
- drugs and alcohol
- leadership and development
- recreation camping
- community development
- mentoring.
Hanna’s most recent position prior to her commencement at Victoria University was as the Acting Executive Officer at Big Brothers Big Sisters Melbourne, Australia’s largest youth mentoring organisation.
In 2013, Hanna commenced in a sessional teaching capacity in the Bachelor of Youth Work program at Victoria University. Hanna moved into a full time position at Victoria University in 2014 taking on the role of Youth Partnerships Officer, supporting and supervising students to complete their Professional Practice placements. Hanna continues to enjoy sharing her experiences as a sessional lecturer in the Bachelor of Youth Work program.
Away from work, Hanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the many sights and regular festivities of Melbourne. Hanna has a keen interest in interior design and decorating and enjoys keeping up to date with the current fashions in home stying. Come footy season in Melbourne, Hanna can be found at every Essendon match, watching the Bombers fly up.
