Overview

This unit and APT7003 Professional Counselling Project B are the capstone units for the program. Together they provide students the opportunity to gain experience in researching and preparing a project related to professional counselling practice. Each student, in consultation with their field supervisor, will be required to identify an independent topic with a counselling focus taking into consideration their placement context. Students will research evidence-based approaches in the literature to support the project proposal and, based on the literature review, produce a counselling related project proposal.

  1. Critically reflect upon and synthesise counselling literature to identify and design a viable research project;
