Adrian Giandomenico returned to study to gain professional qualifications in the growing field of logistics.
"I became interested in logistics when I moved into a logistics role at work – mainly warehouse and inventory management. I then decided to get professional qualifications.
Victoria University gave me the opportunity to study in a field that not many universities offer. Even though there’s a growing demand for logistics professionals in the workforce, a lot of people don’t know what logistics is.
My lecturers came from industry and used practical examples in their teaching, based on their own experiences.
My current job came up while I was studying at VU. Before I had even completed my degree I was offered a position as an assistant integrated logistics manager with the Defence Materiel Organisation, a government organisation that acquires and maintains equipment for the Australian Defence Force."
