Pathways add up
Jimmy Pham has found his way to a career through VU's learning pathways.
After completing his VCE at Caroline Chisholm College in Braybrook, Jimmy admits his career plans were a little sketchy. He didn't achieve quite the VCE score he had hoped for. He commenced studying accounting in the TAFE sector at Victoria University.
After completing a Diploma in Accounting, Jimmy followed the direct pathway to Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and is now in the final stages of the course.
Jimmy is employed by Victoria University under the Students as Staff scheme, which allows students to undertake paid work on campus while completing their studies. As part of his employment, Jimmy has been involved in a local community project that is helping primary school students develop financial literacy.
Jimmy's journey is testament to the flexibility available at Victoria University. In Jimmy's words: "Stay optimistic, seek alternatives, and never give up."
