VET in schools
Studying a Vocational Education and Training (VET) program allows students in years 10, 11 and 12 get a head start on their education and career path.
On this page
VET in School (VETiS) programs are generally completed over 1 or 2 years and provide a qualification or partial completion of a Certificate II or III. The courses often include on-the-job learning and use of simulated environments.VET programs contribute to the VCE or VCAL and most contribute towards a study score that counts towards your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank. Other benefits include:
- gain industry experience
- create a pathway to further study
- improve your chances of finding a job when you finish school.
