VU research funding schemes

Victoria University offers funding schemes to support research and research activities in attracting grants, publication outputs and supervising higher degree research completions. These include:

Research training program and development workshops

VU supports researchers and supervisors through extensive workshops and professional development opportunities. The Research Training Program can assist researchers in preparing grant and ethics applications, managing research data, developing time management skills, publishing and presenting research, supervising students and more.

eResearch support

VU works with researchers and across central services to reduce barriers to technology, build infrastructure and offer support. We offer a diverse range of programs and services for researchers, including technical expertise, research data storage, digitisation services, video conferencing and more. Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme

Since 2008, the Victoria University Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme has been supporting outstanding early career researchers seeking to commence an academic/research career. The scheme provides appointments of four years, including a teaching component for up to 25% of a full-time position. In 2013 the scheme will be expanded to include a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship program with Industry.
