If you are an international student and you want to study at Victoria University (VU) you must meet our English language entry requirements. To determine your English language level you will be required to sit a placement test and attend an interview. After this you will given a class placement and study plan.
Below is a guide to the entry requirements for English language and University Preparation courses at our English Language Institute (ELI).
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. You can study from an elementary to intermediate level.
Entry to EAP courses is based on your ELICOS report and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores.
To enrol in the EAP TAFE Direct Entry Preparation Course you must meet one of the following requirements:
Successful completion of TAFE Direct Entry Preparation Course will allow you entry to VU TAFE courses.
To enrol in the EAP Direct Entry University Preparation Undergraduate (UPU) you must meet one of the following requirements:
Successful completion of UP2 will allow you entry to VU undergraduate courses.
To enrol in the EAP Direct Entry University Preparation Postgraduate (UPP) you must meet one of the following requirements:
Successful completion of UP1 will allow you entry to VU postgraduate courses. Some postgraduate courses may have higher entry requirements.
