The Victoria Law School (VLS) provides education in all aspects of the law. Our courses were designed in consultation with legal professionals, and provide solid foundations for a successful law career.
We operate across multiple campuses including Queen Street in the heart of Melbourne’s legal district, and Footscray Park.

Our courses provide you with practical legal skills for future employment, as well as other career pathways that could range from working for Government or Treasury departments, community legal centres or private enterprise.

The Sir Zelman Cowen Centre provides training and support to the courts, legal practitioners, judiciary and other professions.
We also have four rooms for hire at our Queen St premises. Potential clients can book these rooms for seminars, meetings, training courses and other functions.
The Governance Research Program sits within the VLS, and aims to improve governance of the private and public sectors through the use of independent academic research, consultancies and postgraduate teaching.
The VLS encourages research that involves working with industry partners to solve real-world problems. Research is undertaken by academic staff members and research students as well as the faculty's research centres:
Research degrees can be obtained by undertaking a Master by Research, PhD or Professional Doctorate.

The Centre for Work Integrated Learning was designed to support and assist Business and Law students in preparing for employment.
Our coordinators work with employers to secure positions for registered students. We offer CV and interview workshops, networking advice, industry expos and more.
