VCE Summary Lectures

Victoria University hosts VCE lectures aimed at preparing Year 12 students for their exams and final assessments. They cover a number of subjects and are delivered by qualified VCE assessors and teachers, and best of all they’re free!

The next 2011 VCE Lecture Series will start again in September.

Course entry requirements

Course entry requirements vary. Make sure you are aware of the entry requirements and complete course pre-requisites for the course you choose. 

While you should aim to get the best ATAR score possible, many TAFE courses don't select on your ATAR alone. Selection may also be based on an interview, folio or details you provide in a VU supplementary information form.

Many of our courses, including law, accounting and public relations only require VCE with an English study score of at least 20 to be eligible for selection.

How to apply

There are two ways to apply for a course at VU:

1. VTAC application
2. Direct Entry application - application made directly to VU

Apply through VTAC for all degree courses and for full-time places in Certificate I-IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.  

Apply by direct application for Certificates I - III and also part-time places in Certificates IV, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas.

As part of your application you may be required to complete extra requirements such as:

• submitting supplementary forms
• attending an interview, audition, information session and/or workshop
• submitting a folio
• undertaking a test.

Portfolio Partnership Program

The Portfolio Partnership Program (PPP) is offered to Year 12 students in VU partnership schools. This can be a great opportunity for you to gain a place at VU. Check with your Career Adviser to see if you are eligible to apply via alternative entry for a place at VU.
