Student email

We encourage you to use your student email account as your primary email account. This will ensure that you receive important emails from within the Victoria University community. It's the fastest and safest way to communicate with VU staff and students.

Login to your student email account if you already know how it works. If you're not sure how it works and what you can do with the system, read on.

As a student, you are expected to regularly check your account for updates on the management of your course, key student administration matters and individual emails from your lecturers and fellow students.

Your student email has a number of important features:

  • it has a 5GB mailbox
  • it has a calendar and you can calendar share with other students
  • it is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux (Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox)
  • it has powerful anti-spam and anti-virus filtering
  • it has a familiar Live Hotmail interface
  • it is easy to keep in contact with students and staff
  • you can customise the colours
  • you have access anywhere, anytime
  • you can keep your email account forever
