As a student, you are expected to regularly check your account for updates on the management of your course, key student administration matters, University events and individual emails from your lecturers and fellow students.

We are currently upgrading the VU student email system, migrating all student emails from Live Mail to Outlook Live.
We will let you know when to stop using Live Mail site and start using the new feature-packed Outlook Live site.

If you are a first time user you can activate your student email account within 48 hours of successfully enrolling at the University. To check your enrolment status, contact the Student Service Centre +61 3 9919 6100.
After you find out your login details and review the terms and conditions, you can then start setting up your email account.
If you have previously accessed your student email account, you can go directly to Live Mail and login using the same user ID and password.
Important emails from the Victoria University community will be sent to your student email account so it is important that you activate your student email and check it on a regular basis.
If you already have an email account, you can either forward your student emails onto your primary email account or use your student email account to send and receive mail for your other email accounts.

Important emails from the University, sent to your student email address, will now be sent to your preferred email address.
