Online learning support

SNAPVU is the latest addition to online learning support at VU.

It is a social learning site where you can:

  • create a profile and get resources recommended to you based on your study interests
  • personalise your pages
  • ask and answer other students' questions on the discussion forum
  • read and comment on blogs
  • watch and rate videocasts made by other VU students
  • create and join online study groups
  • find out how you can get involved in students supporting student learning

The Learning Hub contains older online learning support pages. You can still access web-based study resources and activities from here.

Language and learning support and development

Learning Support Services (LSS) provides study help for VU students. LSS lecturers give study skills workshops throughout the semester on a variety of academic skills topics. They also provide students with individual learning support consultations, and manage the University's Peer Mentoring and Student Rover programs.

Students supporting student learning

Students Supporting Student Learning is about students learning from other students. Student mentors are selected to provide academic support through student-led study sessions across a variety of units and courses.

You will find student rovers at VU's libraries/learning commons. They can help with your learning needs in the libraries.

For more information, explore SSSL on SNAPVU.
