ZBrush is a robust tool that allows people to create digital paintings and incredibly detailed 3d characters/creatures. The models and textures created within ZBrush can be exported to a variety of applications for use in the film industry, game industry or 3d visualisation industry.

This course is aimed at those who have completed the ZBrush Beginner short course and wish to build upon those skills and discover some of the more advanced features in ZBrush.

Course contents

The following topics will be covered:
- Extracting clothing using masks
- Reconstructing meshes using Zspheres
- Concept planning and development
- ZBrush pipeline (integrating with other applications)
- Design/create a Zsphere project
- Detailing 3d characters/creatures
- Polynormal mapping
- Displacement maps

This workshop is delivered over three Saturdays, 9 - 4pm. It is aimed at those who have completed the Zbrush beginner course and wish to build upon those skills and discover some of the more advanced features in Zbrush. Students will work on personal projects from start to finish in order to learn the whole process including planning and development.
