To prevent injuries in the classroom, technology teachers need to be trained in the safe use of woodworking machinery.  To manage a safe working environment in the classroom, complete this three day accredited course.

Structure:

VBQU618 – Apply OH&S principles to technology teaching.  This is an eight hour unit of competency which teaches the skills required to apply OH&S risk management principles in your workplace/classroom.

VBQU619 – Safely operate and maintain woodworking machinery.  This is a 16 hour unit of competency that teaches the skills to safely operate and maintain woodworking machines that are used in secondary schools.
