Safe Use of Machinery for Technology Teaching (Woodwork)
Technology teachers need training in the safe use of woodworking machinery to manage a safe classroom work environment and prevent injuries.
VU's professional development course has been designed to maintain your safety accreditation.
The course will include:
VBQU618 – Apply OH&S principles to technology teaching. This is an eight hour unit of competency which teaches the skills required to apply OH&S risk management principles in your workplace/classroom.
VBQU619 – Safely operate and maintain woodworking machinery. This is a 16 hour unit of competency that teaches the skills to safely operate and maintain woodworking machines that are used in secondary schools.
