Pruning Fruit Trees

This three hour course has been designed to teach you the correct methods for pruning fruit trees in your garden, ensuring production of fruit at a safe picking height. Students will learn via demonstrations from an experienced pruner.
Learn the skills necessary to:
- choose the correct season to prune stone fruit and pome fruit (apples and pears)
- determine fruit buds from leaf buds
- select the right pruning tools
- understand hygiene and pest and disease control.
