About this course

Ubuntu Linux offers a cheaper alternative to commercial operating systems for home or business PC users. Achieve substantial cost savings in relation to both the hardware and software. Linux is secure by design, easy to install and use, and provides access to free enterprise quality software.

This workshop shows you how to set up, customise and maintain a fully functional Ubuntu Linux based desktop suitable for home or business environment and be ready to perform day to day computing operations . The course targets small business owners and experienced home users.

The course has been developed by the School of Information Technology and Creative Industries with active support from the Victorian ICT Specialist Centre.
