In this course delivered by the Victoria Graduate School of Business (VGSB), you will also examine the implications of these types of systems on a business. You'll examine business process engineering, supply chain logistics management, and organisation and chain management.

Course Objectives

The course aims to teach students the necessary computing and business skills to support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise resource planning systems and an understanding of the implications these types of systems have on a business.

Units and electives

The course is offered on a full-time basis over two semesters or on a part-time basis over four semesters. All units of study carry a value of 12 credit points. Students must complete 96 credit points through academic study in order to graduate.

Three electives approved by the Course Co-ordinator.

Students who successfully complete four approved units of study students and elect to exit the course at that stage will be eligible to receive the Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.

What's a unit?

A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.

Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.

Credits

Each unit is worth a set amount of study credits based on the amount of time you study. Generally, 1 credit is equal to 1 hour of study per week.

Admission Information

  • International: In addition to satisfying the entry requirements for Australian resident students or demonstrating equivalence, overseas students must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language: · International English Language Testing System - overall score of 6.5 and no individual band score less than 6.
  • Mature: To qualify for admission to the course an applicant must normally have completed an approved degree or diploma in a business related area and be employed or intend to be employed in a position associated with enterprise resource planning systems. Applicants who do not have formal qualifications but have such training or work experience as to indicate the ability to undertake the course successfully may be considered for admission.
