Hazardous areas essential knowledge
If you work in the hazardous areas industry you need essential knowledge in:
- electrical classification
- zoning, protection techniques
- dossiers and related documentation and
- inspections.
This hazardous areas awareness course is not training or competency based, rather it is designed to be run as a group discussion with no assessments.
The course is aimed at anyone exposed to, involved in or working in hazardous areas.
Wheat, flour, vegetable oils, sugars etc can be just as explosive as hazardous chemicals typically found in the petrochemical industry. Your organisation in the interest of safety may require supervisors, employees and preferred contractors to attend this course, or our other hazardous area courses.
Our hazardous awareness courses can be run at our Sunshine campus or on site. On site and/or customised courses are available on demand. VU serves the western region of Melbourne and provides leading-edge courses in hazardous areas assessment and management.
Refresher courses are recommended every two to three years.
