Refunds

If you withdraw from your course or a unit of study before the census date, you might be eligible for a refund of some fees.

You can apply for a refund by completing a Refund application.

If you are eligible for a refund, you should allow 4 to 6 weeks for your refund to be processed. Refunds are generally generated automatically, and we will post a cheque to you.

International students studying in Australia

Local higher education students

If you have withdrawn from your course or any unit(s) of study or taken approved Leave of Absence, you may be eligible for a refund.  The table below will help you work out any refund of fees you may be eligible for.

If you have paid your student contribution/tuition fee up front for a given semester and have subsequently reduced your study load prior to the semester census date, you will be eligible for a refund of the difference between the original and the re-calculated student contribution/tuition fee.

TAFE students

If you have withdrawn from your course or any unit(s) of study, the table below will help you work out any refund of fees you may be eligible for. If you are transferring to another institution within 4 weeks of the course start date, you will be eligible for a full refund, as long as proof is provided with the application.
