Course Objectives
This qualification reflects the role of visual artists who combine specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills to prepare for and develop an emerging arts practice. They are able to plan and realise a body of work in one or more art forms. Visual Arts practice at this level is underpinned by a sound grasp of art theory and history and the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources. Discourse and communication around complex ideas and an understanding of the role of technology in arts practice are also required.

To sucessfully complete this qualification participants must complete 15 units (6 core units plus 9 elective units) as per the Training Package rules and the University's Selection.

What's a unit?
A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.
Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.
Admission Information
- Year 12: Sucessful completion of VCE or equivalent and skills and knowledge of unit CUVPRP401A Realise a creative project. Those skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or through formal study.
- International: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
- Mature: Skills and knowledge of unit CUVPRP401A Realise a creative project. Those skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or through formal study.
