In this short course you will receive practical guidance to using a digital SLR Camera through lectures and hands-on tutorials in the CBD environment. We review the historical context for photography, through to what equipment will suit your needs for different situations.
Equipment Requirements: A digital SLR Camera and comfortable clothing to get around the CBD. Classes will also have access to Apple Macintosh computers.

Course contents
In this short 12 hour course you will receive practical guidance to using a digital SLR Camera. The course will be delivered in two Saturday workshops, 6 hours each.
Lectures and hands-on tutorials in the CBD environment.
Participants will learn how to:
Utilise the mail features for image capture and editing
Image storage
The different lenses to suit your needs
Operating an SLR
Camera white balance
Understand lighting fundamentals
