Learn to use one of the most powerful and multipurpose photo manipulation programs. Photoshop is used for anything from simple photo retouching to creating image ready files for use on the Internet, through to use in major motion pictures.
Building on the basics CS4 Photoshop Fundamentals, learn to greatly enhance skills in Photoshop to create sophisticated images and designs including creating special effects type and using layer effects and filters.
About the teacher
John Nickless is a practising graphic designer / illustrator who has experience in the graphic arts industry, for over 25 years overseeing his business and focusing on the digital revolution the last 15 years. Over the last 10 years teaching has led to broadening his knowledge and experience of the increasing changes to digital imaging.

Using layer effects, filters and effects palette to create those amazing photo compositions you see in magazines
How to manipulate images
Using layers and channels effectively
Using the clone tool and touching up old images to look brand new
How to create special effects type
Learn about the different file types in Photoshop and their current usage
Learn how to make your files print ready in the correct resolution for importation into other programs
Step-by-step in-class exercises to effectively learn how to use this sophisticated software
