This course is an introduction to using Adobe Illustrator CS4 - the industry standard graphic drawing program.

You will learn to present professionally created graphics and illustrations, as well as an introduction to vector graphics using the pen tool.

Course contents

In this introductory course you will be provided with:

-A brief introduction to working on Macintosh Computing Platform
-The mechanics, tools and features of Illustrator CS4
-Introduction to Vector Graphic knowledge, the basis for Illustrator
-How to navigate and utilise the Illustrator interface, including the pen tool for drawing
-Creating a document in Illustrator, importing pictures and other basic functions
-Using and creating layers
-Using and creating colour swatches
-In class exercises to learn the specifics of Illustrator.
