The objectives of this qualification are to deliver quality training to students to enable them to work in the Aged Care sector. A wide range of elective units are available to address workplace requirements at this level or higher in the Community Services / Health Training Packages and other relevant national endorsed Training Packages approved by the School of Health.

To gain entry into CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care a candidate must be recognised as competent, through a recognised training program or recognition process, against the following compulsory units from CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent):
