The course will equip you for work in a retail office or shopfront environment where the planning of customer's travel and touring arrangements takes place.

Course Objectives

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of well-developed retail travel sales and operational skills. Work would be undertaken in a retail office or shopfront environment where the planning of customer's travel and touring arrangements takes place.

Units and electives

Core Units:

Core - Specialisation Group A - International

Elective Units:

Students must successfully complete 22 units: all 16 core units and 6 elective units in accordance with the package rules specified in SIT07 Training Package. For this qualification, electives may be selected to meet a job outcome in either domestic or international travel sales, as follows: International: - to achieve a specialisation in international travel, all 3 elective units from Specialisation Group A – International must be completed - the remaining 3 elective units may be selected from the general electives or any endorsed Training Package - a maximum of 1 Languages other than English unit may be counted as an elective within this qualification.

Admission Information

  • TAFE: NA
  • Year 12: VCE or equivalent.
  • International: NA
  • Mature: Completion of year 12 or relevant industry experience.
