How to apply

There are two main ways to apply for a course at Victoria University: through the Victoria Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) or by submitting a direct application to VU. Please note that VTAC applications for 2009 have closed.

Mid-year entry lets you apply directly to us for courses that accept mid-year applications - you could start studying with us in July!

Applying through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC)

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is the organisation that processes course applications on behalf of universities in Victoria. Applications via VTAC are currently closed. Registrations for tertiary entry applications for 2010 will open with VTAC on Monday 3 August 2009.

You can obtain further information about VTAC courses in the VTAC Guide and on the VTAC website.

Semester one intake

For semester one intake, applications for courses need to be made through VTAC.

If you are a TAFE student applying for a Certificate IV, a Diploma, or and Advanced Diploma courses you should apply for the course through VTAC.

If you are studying an undergraduate course, you should also be applying through VTAC.

If your course is not available through VTAC, ensure you complete the Higher Education Direct Admissions/Supplementary Information Form. Make sure you read the Advice to Applicants before you fill in the form.

Portfolio Partnership Program (PPP)

The Portfolio Partnership Program (PPP) is offered to Year 12 students in VU partnership schools. We assess your application on your own merits, not just the ENTER score, which can be a great opportunity for you to gain a place at VU.
