Knowledge Management is delivered in conjunction with the Diploma in IT (Software Development) while e-Learning is delivered in conjunction with the Diploma in IT (Multimedia).

Provides high level ICT, process improvement and business skills and knowledge to enable an individual to be effective in senior ICT roles within organisations.

Core Units of Study

Specialist Stream Units of Study

A minimum of five units from one of the specialist streams:

(Systems or Software Process Improvement, Systems Development,E-learning, Knowledge Management

Systems or software process improvement

Systems developement

E-LEARNING

Knowledge menagement

Elective Units of Study

A minimum of eight units chosen from the following: (listed in preferential order)

Any ICA60105 - Specialist Stream units (a) (units not already taken);And/or

any ICA60105 Specialist Electives Stream units as listed in the Information and Communications Technology Training Package (ICA05)And/or

ICA60105 General Electives list as listed in the Information and Communications Technology Training Package (ICA05)And/or

ICA05 Information and Communications Technology Training Package at Diploma or Advanced Diploma level units and which have not been previously counted in a Diploma qualification;And/or

Any other Training Package units at Advanced Diploma (to a maximum of 4 units) based on documented industry or enterprise needs.

12 months full time Full-time, Part-time, Onshore international students

What's a unit?

A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.

Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.

Admission Information

  • TAFE: Successful completion of VCE/VCAL or equivalent
  • Year 12: Successful completion of VCE/VCAL or equivalent
  • Mature: Successful completion of VCE/VCAL or equivalent

  2. Submit a TAFE Direct Entry Application form
  3. As part of the application you may need to complete extra requirements such as:
    • submit supplementary forms
    • attend an interview, audition, information session or workshop
    • submit a folio
    • sit a test

    Details about extra requirements are available from the Faculty of Workforce Development.

    You need to complete all extra requirements by the given dates, otherwise your application may not be considered.
