Course Objectives

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to design and validate/evaluate electrical equipment and systems and provide technical advice/sales.

The requirements for awarding this qualification are that the following are successfully achieved:

• 16 Core Units of Study • 3 Core Stream Electives • Selected elective units to collectively total between 1900 and 1970 hours

What's a unit?

A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.

Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.

Admission Information

  • TAFE: Successful completion of VCE
  • Year 12: Successful completion of VCE
  • International: IELTS: 5.5 or equivalent
  • Mature: Successful completion of VCE

    You need to complete all extra requirements by the given dates, otherwise your application may not be considered.
