The Newport children's centre has an extensive natural outdoor play area to promote growth and development.
At the end of 2012, the Newport Campus ceased teaching operations. The Newport Childcare centre will remain open until the end of 2013.
The centre provides care for 40 children aged three months to six years on a full-time (weekly), daily and sessional (half day) care basis.
The centre has 3 age groups:
- under 2 years
- 2 - 3 years
- 3 - 5 years.
All Victoria University children's centres are accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
