Alumni membership

The VU Alumni Community offers different membership types. You can join as a financial member, or participate as a non-financial member.

We also have membership options available for current VU students, offering you the chance to attend or volunteer at a number of alumni events and activities and help you build your communication and networking skills before entering the workforce.

Financial membership

We have three options for financial membership:

  • One year
  • Three year
  • Five year

Financial membership offers you a range of benefits to suit your personal and professional needs.
Our most popular benefit is access to the library where financial membership allows you to continue borrowing books after graduation and access the library's e-database and journal service.
In addition, you'll also receive invitations to events, discounts at health clinics and much more. Go to alumni benefits for more information.

Each of the financial member receives a special VU Alumni membership card that makes access to the full range of benefits much easier.

Becoming a financial member

Joining as a financial member is easy. Simply download the relevant form below, complete it and send it in with payment to the address provided in the form.

Make sure you select the form for your country of residence. If your country is not listed, please use the Australian membership form to join as a financial alumni member.

Non-financial membership

All recent graduates automatically become non-financial members.

Non-financial, or free membership means you receive regular e-newsletters from the VU Alumni Community. You can also attend VU events but you don't get to enjoy the full range of alumni benefits available to financial members.

To stay in touch with VU as a non-financial member, simply email Alumni Relations at alumni@vu.edu.au with the following details:

  • Full name
  • Postal address
  • Telephone number
  • Email
  • VU course code and course name
  • Year of graduation (or anticipated year of graduation)
  • Employment details (including company name and job title)
