As a researcher, Dr. Thuy-Huong Truong has a proven quality research active in marketing and tourism research, including a sound record in publishing in peer-reviewed and other academic journals and forums. The many awards that she has won including the Vice-Chancellor’s PEAK AWARD for Excellence in Research and Research Training; Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence in Research and Research Training; Highly Commended SIR FRANK MOORE Award for Excellence in PhD Research and Publications; Research and Research Training Award for Research Degree; Ocean Spirit Cruises Award for Most Outstanding PhD Student in Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing, and the Defence Lake Attack Industry Award.

Professional experience

Dr. Thuy-Huong Truong’s multi-disciplinary background has enabled her to teach a range of marketing, tourism, hospitality, management, consumer behaviour and statistics subjects spanning over 20 years in Vietnam and in Australia. She has extensive experience in business, marketing and travel consultancies in Vietnam and Australia. Apart from her teaching and research activities, she has also engaged in various learning in the workplace and community research projects associated with the BHO2285 Marketing Research Unit.
