John is a lecturer in professional and creative writing.

Expertise

John spent two years at the Western Bulldogs as that club’s inaugural media manager. During that time, the club won the AFL Media Association (AFLMA) award for the Club with the Best Media Relations. John reported on AFL for The Western Times for several years and is a regular contributor to the Footy Almanac series. In 2009 John chaired the comedy debate: Sport Is the New Literature at the Melbourne Writers Festival.
