Gary joined Victoria University as Director, Facilities in 2001. He came to the University with a diverse professional background spanning 20 years.

After graduating with a masters degree qualification in environmental engineering Gary's early career was as a consulting engineer. Subsequently he spent a number of years at each of Australian Airlines and Coles Myer in a variety of planning, property and project management roles.

Gary holds a MBA from Deakin University and has served as a committee member with the Institution of Engineers and is currently on the executive of Vocational Education and Training (VET) Facility Managers Association.
