Professor Duncan Bentley joined Victoria University in December 2011.
He has extensive experience in strategic positioning - aligning the research and teaching strengths of institutions to benefit society. He has also implemented multiple pathways into universities to ensure wide access and an excellent student experience.
Duncan has been a leader in culturally diverse organisations with significant international operations. He was previously Pro Vice-Chancellor of The Curtin Business School at Curtin University. He also served as Pro Vice-Chancellor Teaching and Learning at Bond University, and Dean of the Faculty of Law.
Specialising in international taxation law, Duncan has published widely on taxpayers’ rights and best practice in international tax administration.
He chairs the International Legal Education and Training Committee of the International Legal Services Advisory Council, the peak public-private sector consultative and advisory body on the internationalisation of Australia’s legal services sector.
