Visa 457 Program sponsors
Sponsors under the subclass 457 visa program are required to meet training benchmarks. This can easily be done by contributing to a recognised scholarship fund. Victoria University scholarship fund is approved by the Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) as a recognised scholarship fund which satisfies training Benchmark A. We can accept contributions from 457 visa program sponsors.

Gifts in kind
Gifts in kind are non-monetary gifts or services. Examples of this kind of giving range from laboratory equipment, computers and text books to printing, wine sponsorship and auction items for fundraising events. Contact the Development Office for more information.
Bequests

VU staff giving
VU and the Victoria University Foundation, in partnership with staff, are empowering and supporting our students through the workplace giving program. VU staff have been very generous in supporting our students through a number of scholarship initiatives, with the full amount of each donation going directly to support and encourage our students to transform their lives through the power of education.
Workplace Giving enables VU staff to make regular charitable donations from their pre-tax pay, resulting in an automatic tax reduction. Download the forms for payroll deduction.
Work placements and mentoring
We are committed to Learning in the Workplace and Community (LIWC). This is an innovative way for students to gain practical work experience in a trade, industry or profession while studying.
Whether on-the-job or work-based project or research, students are producing work with real benefits to industry and the community. You can support VU by providing opportunities for students to complete a work placement in your organisation or undertake a work-based project as a part of their coursework that benefits your organisation.
You can also support VU by participating in our mentoring program to help students prepare for the challenges in the real world.
