Student Support Fund
Your contribution will make a real difference to the life of a student, like Justin, who is facing short-term difficulties in their day to day life, which may affect their ongoing capabilities to study at Victoria University. A donation will help ensure they receive the practical assistance required to allow them to continue to study at Victoria University.
Support this fund and other projects by making an online donation today, or by downloading and completing the donation form.
Student Scholarships
Scholarships are a powerful way to directly make a difference to the aspirations of individual students. Unfortunately many students face significant financial constraints and social barriers, limiting their opportunities and access to tertiary education. VU offers the highest number of Access and Equity scholarships of any Victorian university. We currently offer almost 500 scholarships based on equity, primarily assessed on the criteria of financial need.
VU Achievement Scholarships Fund
Each year VU provides two scholarships for every secondary school in the western region of Melbourne. These scholarships are offered to students based on their achievements while in Year 12.
One student enrolling in a vocational education course at VU and one student enrolling in an undergraduate degree at VU, from each school will receive a scholarship for the duration of their course.
The total amount to be raised each year to sustain these scholarships is approximately $1 million, or an endowment of $20 million to support the scholarships in perpetuity. Victoria University Foundation has made a commitment to support the scholarships and needs your help to raise the $1 million required each year.

East Timor Scholarships Fund
VU is proud of its longstanding commitment to East Timor (Timor-Leste). In the early 1990s, before East Timor’s independence, VU supported the development of its most precious resource – its intellectual infrastructure.
The Timorese National Resistance Council was once based at VU’s City Flinders Campus in Melbourne. Since that time, VU has continued to support the people of East Timor. Increasingly, support has focused on maximising educational opportunities for East Timor students, particularly those who will make an immediate and significant contribution to the development of their newly independent nation.
The East Timor Scholarships Fund enables selected Timor-Leste students to access education programs at Victoria University in Melbourne. In order to sustain the East Timor Scholarships Fund we need your help. We need to raise further funds to guarantee the East Timor Scholarships Fund for the next five years.
Please help us contribute to the future of Timor-Leste by investing in the education of its people. Make an online donation today, or download and complete the East Timor Scholarships Fund donation form.
VU Sport Scholarships
As part of a structured Elite Athlete Support Program the aim of the Sport Scholarships is to attract, encourage and assist elite athletes and aspiring elite athletes with their sporting and academic pursuits concurrently.
Victoria University has a long and proud tradition of sporting excellence and the Sport Scholarship program supports our student athletes in a variety of ways. This may be the provision of VU fitness club memberships as well as domestic and international travel grants for students in order to attend select major competitions such as the Olympics, Paralympics, Commonwealth Games, World University Games and World Championships.
