Welcome to the Victoria University Housing Service
The Housing Service is part of the Student Services team. It provides current and enrolling Victoria University students with free and confidential housing information and tenancy advice. Housing options include Student Village, Homestay, Hostels and Apartments, Hotels and Motels and Private Rental.
Note that the Student Housing Services dose not find accommodation for you. Students must take responsibility for finding and booking their own accommodation. International students will need to book their own temporary accommodation before arriving in Melbourne.See www.vu.edu.au/ss/housing for student shared housing and private houses-flats for rental vacancies. These vacancies are updated daily. Students need to ring these vacancies themselves and arrange a meeting time.
To access this housing data-base off-campus please contact the Housing Service (housing@vu.edu.au) for a current password.
The Housing Service also provides students with tenancy advice including lease, condition report, bond, utility, cheaper shopping, co-tenant conflict, repairs and eviction help. You can also register at www.vu.edu.au/ss/housing for a house-hunting buddy and to buy-sell furniture.
