Car Parking - Melbourne Showgrounds

IMPORTANT SEMESTER 2 2008 EXAM PARKING INFORMATION

As of Monday 17th November 2008 car parking to the Melbourne Showgrounds will be via Gate 7 - Leonard Crescent.

A fee of $5 applies for car parking at the Showgrounds. No other local car parking is available.

Car parking tickets will be available for purchase prior to the Semester 2 2008 exams from the following Student Service Centres by Monday September 29 2008.

SS Centres - Footscray Park, City Flinders, St Albans, Werribee, Sunbury, Melton & Sunshine. Please note that tickets can be purchased between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm daily. SS Centres are unable to accept payments after 4:00pm.

Entry to the Showgrounds is via Main Gate 1, located in Epsom Road. 

Students should plan to arrive at least 1 hour before their exam starts as Epsom Road carries a lot of traffic and delays getting into the Showgrounds may occur.

Catering  

Food and Drink will be available for purchase on site.

Bags, Personal Items & Study Room

A Bagroom will be made available at the Showgrounds, under the Public Grandstand, Building 9.

A study room will also be available to students adjacent to the bagroom in Building 9.

Students are strongly advised not to bring bags and/or personal items to the exam venue as the storage area will not be secure.  The University takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to those items.

BUSES

Bus 472 stops opposite Showgrounds Gate 5, with an approximate 5 minute walk to the exam buildings

TRAMS

Tram 57 stops outside Showgrounds main gate in Epsom Road, with an approximate 5 minute walk to the exam buildings.

Tram 82 stops at the intersection of Maribyrnong Road and Union Road (Ascot Vale), with an approximate 15 minute walk to the Showgrounds.

TRAINS

Ascot Vale Station (Broadmeadows Line) is an approximate 10 minute walk to the Showgrounds precinct.

Supplementary Examinations

Supplementary exam information for Higher Education Students

If your mark is between 45 and 49 you will be offered Supplementary Assessment for the unit of study, which in some cases may be an exam.

A formal Supplementary exam period applies to the Semester 1 & 2 Exams. Exam timetables for these exams will be available on MYVU / MYVU Portal.

For information on Supplementary exams during all other exam periods please contact your Faculty Office or Unit of Study Lecturer.
