Environmental, social & governance research

The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research group conducts research that engages industry to deliver world-class outcomes for the economy and society both locally and globally.

Responding to the challenges faced by businesses and other organisations, members of this group actively research to identify real-world challenges and their solutions. Through this research, special attention is paid to protecting Country, consistent with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and principles of planetary health.

Our researchers have expertise in data collection and analysis such as surveys incorporating statistical expertise and modelling, content analysis and interviewing protocols.

Events & conferences

The ESG research group holds an annual International ESG Sustainability Conference with industry keynote guest speakers from leading organisations showcasing their innovations in sustainable development and reporting.

Academics are practioners also present their papers during concurrent sessions.

A selection of these presentations are then invited to submit full papers for consideration to our partnering journal, the Australasian Business, Finance and Accounting Journal.
