All applicants are required to complete the following to determine suitability:
Pre-training Review (PTR)- Literacy and numeracy assessment.
- Students must show proof of the required employment or voluntary arrangements in a regulated Children's Education and Care service prior to enrolment.
- Students will also be required to demonstrate they have the capacity to work with children and families in the highly demanding field of early childhood as set out by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations by participating in an interview. This may be conducted individually or as a group, at the discretion of Victoria University. Further information can be found at: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/
Practical Placement
Prior to beginning placement, all students are required to complete both training modules:
National Child Safety Training
Victorian State Government EC PROTECT Training
The vocational sector also requires:
a current and satisfactory Police Record Check
Working with Children Check
Immunisation

Failure to provide the required documents in the timeframe specified by the Course Coordinator means you will be unable to undertake practical placement in a workplace and therefore not eligible to progress in this course.
