Find the perfect course for you.

Our extensive range of study options give you the flexibility to choose how you want to study – whether you're looking for a short course to refresh your skills, or you're ready to commit to a life-changing degree.

We combine TAFE (vocational training) and higher education (university degrees) courses, in a single, flexible system – so you can easily move between practical skills and higher degrees, or choose between them.

Our research institutes extend study up to PhD level, where impactful research is conducted in high-end facilities.

Our unique course offering

At VU, we believe everyone deserves a chance to succeed in their study and graduate ready for work. Our study levels reflect our commitment to excellence and opportunities for all:

  • Combined pathways: Seamlessly transition from a TAFE certificate or diploma straight into a bachelor degree.
  • The VU Block Model®: Study one subject at a time over four weeks rather than four units at once for deeper focus.
  • Practical learning: Real-world training and community programs embedded directly into courses.
  • Work-focus for employability: Qualifications that match real industry needs at every level of learning.

Pathway into your dream course
Go from a TAFE certificate or diploma straight into one of our bachelor degrees. We are one of Australia's only universities to offer both options. You'll also be able to list two qualifications on your CV, demonstrating practical skills along with academic knowledge to prospective employers.
