Victoria University (VU) is committed to recognising the valuable learning that students bring with them when they study at VU.
This site details the formal, recognised credit arrangements for units of study that the University has approved between certain courses. These arrangements are referred to as 'Pathways' and they assist student movement into, through and out of courses in different sectors (ie Vocational Education and Higher Education) or within the same sector. If you have successfully completed another course in Vocational Education (TAFE, VET, overseas vocational training) or Higher Education in Australia and/or overseas - while or before studying at VU, check the site to see if there exists credits from your course to the VU course that you are interested in. Please note the existence of a pathway does NOT guarantee entry into a course. To apply for a VU Course click Application. To begin your search for information, please click here For help on how to use the site click the student guide or the staff guide If a pathway does NOT exist on this site between a course that you have attempted or completed then please contact the relevant course coordinator and discuss the possibility of credit transfer. You may need to lodge a 'Recognition for Prior Learning' form with your application or at a later date, together with full academic transcripts and a detailed course syllabus, including subject descriptions, details of assessment and the duration of each subject. To apply for Recognition of Prior Learning, please click here for commonly used forms. The Victoria University Learning Pathways site is maintained by the Courses and Pathways Unit of Teaching and Learning Support. For more information, students should contact GoToVU by e-mail at gotovu@vu.edu.au
