Our partner relationships are characterised by their impact, duration, quality, trust, and significant outcomes. With our strategy focused on creating and maintaining multi-faceted relationships, each VU partnership is truly unique.

We welcome major partners to locate workspaces on our campuses. This provides opportunities for students, staff and industry in education, internships and research. We call this model the ‘flipped campus’.

Together with our partners, we strive to make the world better through local action and an unwavering commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Major Alliances

Victoria University's 'Major Alliances' go beyond the parameters of a typical partnership. Each alliance represents a longterm commitment from VU and the partner organisation to exchange knowledge and work together towards aligned goals.

United by shared values and objectives, we collaborate to create opportunities for our students, our researchers, the partner organisation and the communities we serve.

What is a Major Alliance?

Major Alliances are multi-dimensional and have joint activities or initiatives that transcend typical partnerships. These activities align with University strategy, ethics and values.

With the 'Major Alliance' nomination, we recognise the significant value that each party brings to the partnership. University and Major Alliance staff work together to coordinate significant initiatives that are long-lasting, impactful and measurable.

Aspect is Australia’s largest provider of autism-specific services and school programs. This alliance provides support to Aspect, and opportunities for our health and community services workers.
