Our Student Recruitment and Events team at VU work collaboratively with career practitioners to make sure future students receive the most relevant, up-to-date information.

Recruitment activities and events

Our team visit schools, host schools on campus tours, participate in all Tertiary Information Service (TIS) events throughout the state, attend major regional careers expos, community festivals and Career Education Association of Victoria (CEAV) regional careers groups meetings.

2012 VU Forum

All career practitioners are invited to the annual VU Career Practitioners Forum at Flemington Racecourse. The forum is a day for career practitioners to find out more about VU, new courses and programs and to network with key VU staff.

Portfolio Partnership Program

The Portfolio Partnership Program (PPP) is offered to Year 12 students in VU partnership schools. This can be a great opportunity for your students to gain a place at VU as the program assesses applications based on the student's goals, achievements and community involvement, not just their ATAR.

PPP information sessions will be held throughout the year.

Year 10 workshops ‘Breaking Barriers’

In conjunction with the Tertiary Aspirations Network, our Student Equity and Diversity Department run information workshops for year 10 students about what TAFE/university is really like.

The Breaking Barriers workshops provide strategies to overcome possible or perceived barriers and highlight different pathways into post school study for students in the Western Metropolitan Melbourne region.
