Become an expert on the impact of technology on the workplace, with a Certificate III in Emerging Technologies 22589VIC from Victoria University.

Course Structure

To be awarded the 22589VIC Certificate III in Emerging Technologies, a total of fourteen (14) units of competency must be achieved, comprising of:

  • six (6) core units, and;
  • a minimum of eight (8) elective units, of which:

A minimum of two full streams are to be selected as follows:


  • Two (2) Emerging Streams

Where the two streams selected contain less than the eight elective units required, the following applies:

  • Select up to two elective units that have been designed for career exploration. These have been drawn from the streams and VU Polytechnic has selected the following units from the list:

  • VU23142 Investigate applications for smart cities technology
  • VU23164 Explore and prepare for 3D printing in industry
